View Points

For this project, I have been tasked with using lines, shapes, angles, and height to make my composition interesting and draw the viewer’s eye toward a subject such as a tree in the image below, I was also tasked with experimenting with how I use the camera such as the angle I was holding it at or how I would position my body to get an interesting photo.

Here, I have made sure that my camera is focused on the outside, so the walls on the inside will be underexposed and will contrast with the inside of the building. I have also used a frame-in-frame to draw the viewer’s focus onto the tree. To make the image more uniform by removing the item in the bottom left

here I have used the hallways and centered my subject so the corners of the walls and ceilings create a line that draws the viewer’s eyes toward the subject, I have turned the subject people into silhouette To create contrast with the background and to further accentuate the subject

Use subheadings to help you describe your mini-galleries

Hayden, provide some more insights and reflections on your work. Explain and reflect on your work and progress e.g. explain how your viewpoint ’emphasizes height’ Remember, explaining is more interesting than just describing. It involves giving clear reasons for your creative decisions and thinking hard about what you have done and why.

Frame In A Frame

here I have taken a photo with an object in the foreground creating a frame-like structure, this draws the viewer’s eye toward the subject within the frame this also cuts off part of the image cutting up the composition and dividing the frame, however, I feel that I should have made sure that everything horizontal was level and not slightly tilted.

I have tried to make this photo very geometrical by providing an interesting viewpoint through a railing, i have also used a lot of lines to draw the viewers eye around the image whilst dividing the frame into numerous segments.

Have tried to make these photos as abstract as possible while also maintaining line, shadow, and shape I have used black and white as this further distorts the image making it seem further from reality, it also makes the subject stand out more however I didn’t execute it that well in these photos.
